🌟 New Episode Alert! 🌟
"En Familia con GCPS" is a podcast produced in Spanish, the second most widely spoken language in our district. We are excited to offer this podcast to families "en su idioma" (in their language) and look forward to these and additional opportunities to help our families navigate the educational system!
In this latest episode of "En Familia con GCPS," we are thrilled to introduce our special guests, Elizabeth Magana and Martha Alanís, who are dedicated parent support coordinators. Together, we dive deep into the world of the GMAS state assessments, and most importantly, discuss effective strategies for families to support children at home. -
Georgia Special Scholarship (SB10/SB47)
Under a state law passed by the Georgia State Legislature, parents of students who receive special education services may request to transfer their child to another public or private school in Georgia provided that their child has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or a Section 504 Plan and has been enrolled for a full academic year in a Georgia public school.
