Description of the Club: Students will build their own shell to cover a robot. They will then battle other students. The goal is to be the last robot standing. Students will have a chance to test out their designs before they do a bracket battle to determine the winner.

First Lego League Challenge Competition Team

Applications are reviewed and evaluated. 10 students are chosen to represent MPES.Cost: $50 (includes t-shirt and supplies for FLL Tournament) Sponshorships are available based on need.Description of the Club: The FIRST LEGO League Challenge is an international competition organized by FIRST for elementary and middle school students. Each year in August, FIRST LEGO League Challenge teams are introduced to a scientific and real-world challenge for teams to focus and research on. They also work on building and coding a Lego Spike Prime robot to solve missions on a robot game board. -

Description of the Club: The children will explore how people share what they love to do with others. They will learn about the different places where ideas are shared, who they are shared with, and the people behind the scenes that make experiences happen. The children will build a stage that can be used to host a music concert or theatrical performance, or to display an object in a museum. They will use elements from the STEAM Park set to build their ideas. They will create their own place to share their interests and will consider the audience. They will test and improve their designs and creations. The children will record their ideas and designs in their Engineering Notebooks. They will share their builds and what they learned with others. Finally, they will participate in the celebration event, to which you can invite their families and friends. Most importantly, they will have FUN!

Description of the Club: FIRST Lego League Explore challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. In Explore, students will focus on the fundamentals of engineering as they explore real-world problems, learn to design, code, and create unique solutions made with LEGO bricks powered by LEGO® Education SPIKE Essential. The team will develop, share, and refine a solution to a given problem. The core values (discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork, and fun) guide the team through preparation and competition.
