        Emotional Fuel

A leader’s personal network is his or her emotional fuel. Leaders need people in their lives who don’t take from them, but who replenish them.

        Never Lead on Empty:

        • Ego is a person's sense of self-esteem or self-importance
        • Some people lead because they are lonely
        • Some lead because they need encouragement
        • Never lead out of need.

        What is commitment?

        • Being dedicated to a cause or activity
          • Setting aside your own pleasures and comfort | Sacrifice

        September | Character

        • So much of our influence comes from qualities we can't see on the outside.
          • Self Discipline
          • Sense of Identitiy
          • Core Values
          • Emotional Security

Your skill may get you to the top – but it is your character that will keep you there. If you don’t have a strong character, you will eventually sabotage your leadership.
