Vision

The vision of the Pinckneyville Middle School Counseling Department is to equitably meet the needs of every student with the knowledge and skills necessary to become lifelong learners and equip students to achieve their highest potential to become contributing members of a global society.

The Pinckneyville Middle School Counseling Department believes:

• Every student should have equitable access and inclusion in the learning environment. 
• Every student can succeed when provided with the appropriate tools in social-emotional, academic, and career development skills.
• Every student should be included in the comprehensive school counseling program, developed and delivered by professional and culturally competent school counselors.
• Every student should be treated with respect and empathy to holistically meet their needs.

Mission

The mission of the Pinckneyville Middle School Counseling department is to promote academic, social/emotional, and career success by cultivating the knowledge and skills essential to being contributing citizens of a global society. The program seeks to ensure that students achieve success in a safe, caring, equitable, and supportive environment. PMS Counselors will work collaboratively with stakeholders to create a school climate where students feel supported and are valued.
