Our Five Forks Band Program is a year-long class that is open to all students. During their time in band, students learn the fundamentals of music theory, how to make a sound on their instrument, sight-reading skills, and expanding their skills to improve technique on their instrument. Band students are also growing in their personal discipline, responsibility, cooperation, and building a team with their peers.What instruments are in band? Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor/Bari Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba, and PercussionWhat ensembles do we offer? We have three grade-level bands with an extracurricular ensemble, FFMS Select Honors Ensemble that is chosen through auditions for 7th & 8th Graders.What other things can students be involved in with band? Students have the opportunities to audition for District Honor Band, All-State Band, and 6th Grade Honor Band. We also offer the seasonal Basketball Pep Band for students to cheer on their peers from the stands.

Mrs. Jordan Romo went to Troy University, and she graduated with her Bachelor's of Music Education in 2020, Magna Cum Laude, and again with her Master's in 2022. Her training has helped her to develop knowledge and skills in the field of music education, and she is passionate about sharing her expertise with her students.While in college, Mrs. Romo was a part of the Troy University Symphony Band on clarinet and bass clarinet. She served as the Principal Chair for the Symphony Band, Section Leader for the clarinet section in the "Sound of the South" Marching Band, and . Mrs. Romo is a member of Tau Beta Sigma, National Honorary Band Sorority, and served as Chapter President and District Secretary/Treasurer during her time at Troy.Mrs. Romo is a member of the Georgia Music Educator Association and the National Association for Music Educators.GO BRONCOS!!
