    • Want to LEARN how to be your child's first and best teacher through PLAY?

      Winn Holt Elementary will be offering a BIRTH to FIVE program for you and your child that encourages PLAYING, LEARNING, and GROWING together.

      • Learn how to find the teachable moment in everyday activities
      • Learn how to engage with your child in play
      • Learn how to continue learning at home or anywhere
      • Learn how to get your child READY FOR SCHOOL!

      For the 2023-2024 school year, the Play 2 Learn classes will take place on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM or 2:00 PM in the Play 2 Learn classroom with Ms. Kempner.

      Little Learners Academy sessions will start on Friday, August 25 at 10:00 AM. These sessions will take place on the last Friday of each month.  These are short Play 2 Learn sessions so parents can determine if they are interested in the program.

  • Who can Play 2 Learn?

    Children ages birth to 5 years old and their parents or caregivers who live within the Winn Holt district.

  • What is the program about?

    Play 2 Learn is a program for young children— ages birth to 5— offered at all elementary schools in Gwinnett County Public Schools. Children and parents and other adults in the family learn TOGETHER through engaging lesson plans in a high-quality preschool environment for 90 minutes each week during the school year. Families are empowered to keep the learning going at home so that all children will be ready for Kindergarten!

  • When and where will it take place?

    For the 2023-2024 school year, the Play 2 Learn classes will take place on Thursdays from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM in the Play 2 Learn classroom at Winn Holt Elementary with Ms. Kempner.

  • How do I sign up?

    When you come for your first class, we will register you & your child for the program.

  • What is Little Learners Academy?

    Little Learners Academy is a Birth to Five program for children and their parents/caregivers. This program meets one time per month for an hour. The Little Learners Academy program allows children to grow academically, socially and emotionally through interactive read alouds, hands-on learning experiences, music and movement, and engaging with their parents/caregivers through play!  This class will help parents determin their interest in the Play 2 Learn program.
