MakerSpace Storytime & Bridge Building

White Oak students tried on an engineer’s hat and built bridges after Makerspace Storytime. The two-part lesson follows the history of the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. Students learned there are three types of bridges, beam, truss, and suspension bridges and practiced building bridges to cross a river. In the second lesson, students are provided with toy animals to test their bridge building skills.
