I hope that each one of you had a great Winter Break and Holiday Season. It is hard to believe that the first semester and 2023 has come and gone. It seems like only yesterday we were greeting students and parents as they entered the doors to begin the 2023 – 2024 school year. The first semester was definitely fast paced and I don’t see the second semester slowing down. I am very proud of our students and staff for their hard work and all they accomplished during the first 18 weeks of school.
Throughout the course of the school year, we are fortunate to be able to host several different events so that our students, parents and community can be involved in a variety of activities that enhance the overall educational experience. One of our most exciting, and well-attended events, is our annual STEM night. Please make sure you have Thursday, January 18, 2024 marked on your calendar. The time of this event is from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm and a lot of work is going into this to make it our best STEM night ever. I look forward to seeing you there.
I am very excited about 2024 and what it has to hold for Walnut Grove Elementary. I am both proud and blessed to serve as the principal of such a great school that is part of such a great community. I thank you for your continued encouragement and support as we work together in “Achieving Excellence and Developing Leaders.”
Sincerely,
Dr. Dale Pugh
