  • Do you dream of changing the world with the next best product or service? Do you want to climb the corporate ladder to the top? Learn how to develop your leadership and business management skills through the entrepreneurship program.

    If you are interested in founding your own successful and innovative business, the entrepreneurship program will guide you through properly strategizing a plan and will assist you in seeking funding for your venture. Not sure if you want to go into business for yourself? Use this course to generate ideas to be able to manage a startup, non-profit, and to prepare for the corporate world. This course will take you from the ideation process to exploration of financial, legal, and marketing, all while developing a personal business plan for an opportunity to pitch to local investors for start-up money and other resources.

    The 1-year entrepreneurship class offered through the Grayson Technical Program leads to the completion of the Business Management and Administration Pathway. The courses include entrepreneurship, legal environment of business, business and technology, and advanced composition. A career in business and administration involves business and financial planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating business functions essential to efficient and productive business operations, general management, business information management, human resources management, operations management, and administrative support. Successful pathway completers will gain industry certification as well.

    This course will fulfill the fourth year language arts requirement toward graduation.

Cassandra Mingo

Cassandra Mingo is the Entrepreneurial Pathway instructor at Grayson Tech. Ms. Mingo is a graduate of Grand Canyon University where she earned a Bachelors of Science in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Business Education and a Masters in Sociology with an emphasis in Education. She is a Microsoft Certified Educator and a Microsoft Office Specialist in MS Word and MS PowerPoint. Ms. Mingo has studied abroad in England where she explored the educational landscape in comparing British and US education practices in the areas of culture, curriculum, classroom, leadership, and community. Her goal is to prepare students to be critical thinkers within and positive contributors to the social climate of their communities; as well as be globally competitive in a 21st-century society. When not spending amazing moments with family and friends, Ms. Mingo can be found connecting with nature in the North Georgia Mountains.
