STEM Partner Supports White Oak's Garden Club

Becky Patterson, a master gardener and member of the Sugar Hill Garden Club, helped White Oak Garden club members test the soil in our school garden for Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potash, and PH.  We learned that Nitrogen Phosphorus and Potash play a vital role in plant growth just as vitamins, minerals do in our health.  We also learned that different plants have different pH preferences, so it is important to know the pH level of your soil and then you can choose plants with the same pH preferences.
