General Information

  • The goal of the GCPS Community School program is to extend education and recreation to the community. The Community School is an extension of North Gwinnett High School and reaches out as a basic learning center to meet the various continuing education needs of our community. We strive to serve as a creative, quality community environment committed to developing and providing programs of academic and recreational enrichment for all members of our community.

We offer after-hours classes such as Driver Education, SAT Prep classes. We are always seeking input and suggestions for new Community School classes, so please let us know what you are interested in.

We also offer the community the ability to rent the facilities at the High School and our cluster schools (North Gwinnett Middle School, and Riverside, Level Creek, Suwanee, and Roberts Elementary Schools).

Please let us know how we can help you with your event!

Please contact the Community School for a GCPS Fee Schedule for Facility Rentals.

  • Driver's Education

    Upcoming Driver's Education Classes

We host five classes per year.  Our driver's education classes are digital classroom sessions with a live instructor.  Classes run from 2:45 - 5:45 PM each afternoon of the session over a 10-day period.  Summer classes are 8AM - 3PM over a five-day period.  After completing the classroom instruction, students are scheduled with an instructor in one of our vehicles for three, two-hour driving sessions.  These sessions are chosen by the student to be completed after school or on weekends.
The total cost for the course is $450 and students get a completion certificate at the end that helps satisfy Joshua's Law.
