  • The GCPS Book Mobile program - the district's traveling libraries - made its debut in the summer of 2017. 

    The mission of this literacy initiative is to put books into students’ hands and encourage them to build personal libraries.

    The two Book Mobiles, called Pow and Explore, operate the entire year with both a school year program and a summer program. 

     

    The funds that we raise at BLES from our Scholastic Book Fair help us reserve a visit from the GCPS Book Mobile each school year!

  • We will update when The Book Mobile is scheduled for the 2024-2025 School Year!

    Every student who is present for their class' scheduled day and time will receive a FREE book! (This is an in-school event for students only)
