Contemporary Issues in Education (Prerequisite:  Examining the Teaching Profession)

Students will engage in observations, interactions, and analyses of critical and contemporary educational issues. Students will learn about issues influencing the teaching profession from multiple vantage points both within and outside of the school and from interning at local schools.

Teaching as a Profession Practicum  (Grades 11-12 only)  (Prerequisite: Examining the Teaching Profession)

In this teaching internship student interns will demonstrate the skills learned in Examining the Teaching Profession course.  Students will plan and teach a lesson(s), learn how to meet the needs of all students, and how to maintain the safety of students, all while exhibiting professionalism and ethical behavior.
