    New Student? See the information below!

    Prior to coming to school with your child for registration, please complete the online registration form and upload the required documents. You will need the forms and information listed below to be able to register your child. If you need help with online registration, click here for directions.     • Original Certified Birth Certificate
    • Current Certificate of Immunization (GA Form #3231)
    • Current Certificate of Vision, Hearing, Dental, and Nutrition Screening (GA Form #3300)
    • Two (2) forms of Proof of Residency in our district (warranty deed, property tax statement or a lease agreement and either a current water or electric bill.) 
    • Parent Picture ID
    • Child’s Social Security Card
    • Proof of custody or guardianship (if not the birth parent)

  • New student & kindergarten registration for the 2024-25 school year begins April 8, 2024.

    New to GCPS student registration for the 2024-25 school year begins April 8, 2024.   Registration for new students is ONLINE ONLY.  Required documents will be uploaded during the online registration process.  Have your required documents (PDF, JPG, DOC, PNG, etc.) ready before starting the online registration process.  Once your student's online registration is complete, you will need to finish the enrollment process at your school. 


    Who needs to register? All kindergarten students and all new students enrolling in Gwinnett County Public Schools.


    • Please note that students must be five years old on or before September 1, 2024, to register for the kindergarten 2024-2025 school year!
    • If you need help determining which school your child will attend, visit Find My School on the district website.


    Where can I register my child? Registration is 100% online. Student registration for the 2024-25 school year begins April 8, 2024. Online registration for GCPS.


    Do current students need to register for 2024-25?  No, current students will be enrolled automatically for the 2024-25 school year.   However, current GCPS students who are moving to a new school district will need to complete a change of status form at the new school.


    Students who enrolled in a school under one of the conditions below will need to renew their form.

  • Students New to Gwinnett County Public Schools

    Use the links below to complete the online registration process. Collect all necessary documentation and upload these through the registration page.  Contact Jenny Stewart at Jenny.Stewart@gcpsk12.org with any questions.

  • Students Transferring from another Gwinnett County Public School

    If a student is an existing GCPS student and has an address or school change, you will be prompted to upload proof of residency documents only.

  • Students returning to GCPS from non-GCPS School

    Please update the following documents

    • Proof of residency (only if the parent’s home address is different from what was previously stored in Synergy)
    • Immunization Certificate
    • Proof of Authorization
    • Photo ID
    • Non- GCPS Report Card/Transcript
    • Non-GCPS Discipline record
    • Previous School Withdrawal form

  • Students Currently Enrolled at Walnut Grove

    Students returning to Walnut Grove do not complete any online registration.

    If you have a change of address, please update this.

  • Withdrawal Process

    We wish your child the best during the transition to a new school. Our school system has an easy-touse, secure online withdrawal process that will allow you to complete the form required for withdrawing your child. Once you complete and submit the online withdrawal form, you will be contacted by a school representative to verify your id and to provide you with any additional information necessary to complete the withdrawal if needed for your child.

    If using a browser other than Internet Explorer (IE), in order to complete the form and submit it, you will need to do the following steps:

    · Click on the link below and download the form to your device

    · Open the downloaded form with an Adobe application

    · Fill out the form

    · Click on the submit button at the bottom of the form
